All memberships are NON-TRANSFERABLE & NON-REFUNDABLE.

All members must be over 18 to avail themselves of the facilities and services provided at Sky Spirit Fitness Lounge.

Sky Spirit Fitness Lounge is a private members club and the management reserves the right to refuse membership to any individual without giving any reason whatsoever. Memberships may be renewed on payment of the annual fee and in accordance with the terms and conditions then in force.

On acceptance of an application for membership, the member will be issued with a membership key card, which will remain the property of the club at all times. Upon termination of membership, this will be returned immediately to the club. All members must produce their membership keycard on each visit to the club. Entry will not be permitted without a membership key card. An appropriate charge is made for the replacement of lost membership key cards at reception.

Members wishing to report on accidents, incidents or problems with services at the club should contact the Executive Manager on sarah@skyspiritmalta.com. In the event of a breach, of membership rules or regulations by a member, the club reserves the right to refuse him/her entry into the Club and Management may also, at any time, ask any member or their guest to leave the premises, for any reason whatsoever.

Freezing memberships

Freezing is only applicable on the 6 month or annual memberships and cannot exceed a 60 day period. The freezing period is given only if the member produces sufficient proof that either he/she is unable to attend the gym because of health reasons. Membership will be freezed if an original medical certificate is presented and states that the mentioned member cannot make use of the gym for a minimum of 30 days. Freezing of membership will be also granted to members who during a 6 month or annual membership get pregnant. Membership can be freezed to a maximum of 6 months. (A medical certificate will suffice). Freezing of membership will not incur any extra cost.

Class Packages

Classes are subject to change every quarter as per management discretion. Class packages cannot be extended, transferred or refunded. Any classes not used within the expiry date will automatically be lost. Classes need to be booked at all  costs. Bookings are on first come first serve basis and certain classes will be limited to a specific number due to safety reasons. members are to present their dongle and swipe it once for entry.

Lockers

Lockers are provided for the use of members and their guests. Lockers may not be used overnight. The club is entitled to open any lockers and have all contents removed. Removal of such items is strictly at the member’s own risk. Padlocks may be purchased at reception. In the interest of safety and security please use the lockers provided. The club is not liable or responsible for any goods taken from the changing rooms, gym area, studios or lockers.

Members cannot train in the club without a hand towel.

Pilates on the ball includes concentrated work on core strength, body alignment and muscular balance. Strengthen and lengthen the muscles to improve posture and flexibility.

Our equation starts with the five classic moves to target the glutes most effectively: lunges, single-leg squats, hip extensions, step-ups and side leg lifts. We then added a little complexity and dimension to each move by incorporating the principles of mobility and stability characteristic of all Sky Spirit programming.

Featured class of the month

Ripped and Stripped

Ripped and Stripped is the famous pure fitness par excellence, an endorphin feast (…or beast!). Short bursts of resistance exercise using moderate weights/body weight/resistance equipment, plyometrics and frequent repetitions, followed by quickly another burst of exercise targeting a different muscle group.

Since the exerciser switches between muscles groups, practically no rest is needed between exercises. This gets the heart rate up and blood pumping, which usually doesn’t happen during resistance exercise only. This class is not targeted only to lose weight but also to firm and tone, since you’ll be exercising every major muscle in your body, something which you can’t achieve only by jogging or cycling for example.

Don’t worry dear ladies, circuit training will not bulk you up with muscle, on contrary it will tone and firm those flabby muscles, bordering you on that sexy toned look you’ve always wished for. Although weight training has been traditionally a male pastime, undoubtedly it can be a crucial addition to a woman’s exercise regime, since females tend to loose muscle mass at the rate of 1% per annum in their late 30’s. This muscle weight often gets replaced by fat, however we all know that you need muscle and not fat to cushion joints and help protect against osteoporosis, among other benefits. That’s not to mention the trimmer, tighter appearance you’ll gain by toning up.

Ripped and Stripped works because it’s a full hour of cardiovascular and muscular endurance training, no choreographies, no chatting, just work and sweat. It’s brief, it’s basic, it’s consistent; no frills, over quickly. 15mins of a good full body stretch will follow at the end, because as we all know stretching is just as important as exercise.

To a certain extent this class is for every level and age, for the simple reason that everyone can work at his/her own pace, however be aware that overall this class is the most strenuous we offer at Sky Spirit, the bar has been raised quite a lot and the ripped and stripped regulars have become fitness locomotion, so don’t expect the class to slow down…..we’re always that step beyond and out of our comfort zone. If you haven’t been exercising lately, you cannot start your journey to fitness with this class. However, if you’re already a fitness beast or you’ve put in mind to become one, this is the class for you.
