Shred & Tone

Shred & Tone is an energetic, upbeat 60 minute workout which combines cardiovascular training and muscle strengthening activity, making sure to burn calories and shed excess fat while increasing muscle and joint flexibility through a wide range of movements.

The core objectives of this class are to improve mobility and increase muscle strength and endurance. Shred & Tone is a full body workout, a form of body conditioning and resistance training targeting all muscle groups and is suitable for both beginners and intermediate levels. This class allows you to customize the workout intensity to match your ideal level. The intensity of the workout is entirely up to you based on your individual needs and fitness level. Shred & Tone will make sure to boost your overall efficiency and make you feel more vibrant and dynamic. It is our goal that participants leave the class feeling confident and looking forward to the next session.

    Elaine works in the financial services sector but she is also a fitness instructor. In 2013 Elaine became a certified fitness instructor and was one of the first instructors to join Sky Spirit where she currently teaches the Shred & Tone class. In 2018 Elaine continued her studies in specialised group workouts and also became a certified Kettlebell Training instructor. She strongly believes in the importance of a good work-life balance and that regular exercise is a what helps her achieve both. From her own experience Elaine believes that a fun and effective workout helps her unwind and have a more positive attitude in her everyday life and she hopes to share that same experience with others. Her aim is that through her group workouts she motivates people and encourage them to become more active and achieve their fitness goals.

Our equation starts with the five classic moves to target the glutes most effectively: lunges, single-leg squats, hip extensions, step-ups and side leg lifts. We then added a little complexity and dimension to each move by incorporating the principles of mobility and stability characteristic of all Sky Spirit programming.
